Revelation 22:18-19 (King James Version)

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Even though this statement was written with The Book of Revelations in view, it is a good reminder to ministers the seriousness of handling God's Holy Word.

2Tim. 2: 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

In as much as this is a course for ministers we must study daily to get what God has for us.   This verse calls ministers "workman"!?  It's your job to study and know God's Word. If God's Word can be rightly divided it stands to reason it can also be wrongly
divided.  We at Hope Evangelistic Church strive to be "Word Perfect".

1 Timothy 4:13-16 (King James Version)  13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 (King James Version)

2 Timothy 4  1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

These scriptures sound like today because this is the End Times.  And God is depending on you to help change some of these problems.  God has His hand on you for a specific reason: do you know what it is?
